Jassver English Medium School (JEMS) was founded in 1987 in a posh locality of Visakhapatnam by four dynamic and enthusiastic Research Scholars with the purpose of imparting quality education. It was started with a set of 43 children, and is now, one of the leading schools of Visakhapatnam. This success in such a short span of time speaks volumes.
A branch of the school was opened in Rajahmundry in the year 2001.
JEMS believes that quality education can never be accidental. It is possible only through an effective curriculum that includes extra and co-curricular activities, dedicated staff and personal care besides teacher - parent interaction.

Admissions
Registration for admission into school usually begins in the month of February, and the academic year begins from June. The school issues notifications through local and national newspapers for admissions.
The minimum age for admission for L.K.G is 3 plus and 2 plus for play school.
A student seeking admission into higher classes has to qualify in the entrance test. Proficiency in English, Mathematics, Science and Second Language (Telugu/Hindi) form the basis of selection.
Parents may contact the school office on any working day between 9.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. for registration.
The parents will have to produce the child’s progress report of the previous school at the time of interview. Selected candidate will have to submit original Transfer Certificate, Pass Certificate and the Date of Birth Certificate at the time of payment of fees. If the fee is not paid before the given time/date, the selection gets cancelled without prior notice to the parents.
About School activities
Saturdays at Jassver are special days; full of fun, anticipation and activity.
The entire school is divided into various clubs - Dance, Music, Yoga, Karate, Drawing etc., Children arc allowed to choose their own subject of interest and are taught by specially trained teachers.
We believe in developing camaraderie and competitive spirit among the students.

Faculty
A practical and scientifically proven methodology is implemented in the school curriculum. A team of well-qualified, experienced and devoted management and teaching staff is ever eager to help, guide and train the pupils and build their personality.
Academic system and Schedules of the school
The academic plan of the school is being well defined and designed to prepare the child to develop good learning skills. English is the medium of instruction, Telugu and Hindi are offered as Second Languages. The school follows Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E) syllabus from L.K.G to V and A.P state government syllabus from VI to X standard.
The school follows a system of constant evaluation with assessment tests, and terminal examinations. Their performance in these tests and examinations form the basis for promoting the students. Their performance report will be sent regularly to the parents. Parents can meet the Principal on all working days between 9.00 am, and 11.30 am, to discuss about their child with prior appointment. A parent-teacher meet held after every terminal examination, is a part of the school’s strategy to build up a rapport with the parents.
Uniform dress code will promote a sense of togetherness & uniformity among the pupils. The pattern of uniform will be intimated to parents at the time of admission.
At JEMS, pupils are groomed through love and care. A qualified and trained psychologist gives periodic counseling to the slow learners and children with behavioral problems.
The school provides extra study hours after school hours under the personal supervision of the management.
The school relieves the parent from the extra burden of arranging tuitions. Instead, preparatory sessions are conducted for slow learners in the school itself after the school hours.
JEMS endeavours to impart leadership qualities to the students by making them responsible for discipline of the school, and other inter house activities. They are encouraged to plan and execute all the student activities by themselves under the supervision and guidance of their teachers.
Computer Education
Is introduced and made compulsory from Std. III onwards. It prepares the children to meet the modern challenges in their day-to-day life.
Rules and Regulations
**These rules aim at high academic standards and a disciplined way of life. So student and parents are requested to keep them in mind.
**Parents should send their children to school in a clean and correct uniform.
**Parents should send their children to the school by 8.45 am. The school gates will be closed at 8.50 am. Late comers will be sent home.
**Parents are not allowed to interfere with the school administration in any way. In case of any problem they can discuss the same with the Principal.
**In matters of discipline and interpretation of the school rules, Principal’s decision is final Parents should sign report cards and send them to school in the stipulated time.
**Parents of children upto U.K.G should make arrangements for picking up their children
**Parents should check the pupil’s diary daily for homework assigned.
**Parents are requested to cooperate with the staff and ensure the progress of their children by paying attention to regularity, punctuality and discipline.
**While normal precautions arc taken, the school cannot accept responsibility for loss of money, jewellery etc., lost in the school premises.
**Fee must be paid on or before due date.
**Students must observe silence and order in and out side the classrooms.
Students can wear casual dress only on his/her birthday.
**Irregular attendance, disobedience and objectionable behaviour will lead to dismissal.
**The management reserves the right to make any necessary amendments to the rules and regulations.
